Rehearsing for success The ten ‘BE’ attitudes I have learned from leaders I am the “luckiest” network marketer in the world! Looking in from the outside you may beg to differ… and that’s just fine with me. Oh, sure, it’s true I’m not even close to earning those ‘six figures’ and I certainly haven’t (yet) earned the Super Duper Five Star Titanium Crystal Consultant/Distributor/Coach/Educator title, nor do I have half a gazillion people in my organization, but… I’m on my way!! Because of having the good fortune of being in the ‘right’ place at the ‘right’ time I happen to be privy to conversations with many of the industry’s most successful leaders… what? Oh, so are you? Right here at TheNetworkMarketingMagazine.com?! NULL Oh, yeah! That’s true!! And I wonder… have they had the effect on YOU that they’ve had on me? I mean, have you taken the time to read these stories? (now under a new section called, “Interviews” [how clever, yes?] ) They provide a look into the insights, passion, energy and commitment of people who have achieved remarkable success in network marketing and they all have a few things in common— not the least of which is that there was a day when they were not only NOT the top distributors in their company’s but they were not even network marketers!
Amazingly, they all started at the beginning, just the same as each and every one of us!
Yet as you read their stories, all with slightly different twists and turns on their way to success, there are a couple of commonalities that stand out, perhaps defining the pulse of a leader. Admittedly, I have you at an advantage (it’s part of my ‘lucky’ ;-)), because I get to ‘listen’ to the conversations as I transcribe them for the magazine, and I believe it affords me the gift of ‘hearing the music’ of each of these individuals in ways that I haven’t yet, adequately, been able to capture. So I thought I would take the time, right here and now, to share with you, to the best of my abilities, the common song I hear from these gracious and empowered men and women. The first thing I started to notice while listening to and reading these stories is that these people have made it a habit to rehearse for success! Think about that. They held onto the image of successfully sharing something great and didn’t succumb to the temptation to rehearse failure. There simply wasn’t any room for it as they filled their hearts and heads with the picture of success… not only for themselves, but for their teams! It seems, quite naturally, they allowed that to be their full-time job! With this magnificent beat playing in the background the rest of the ‘song’ can be summed up by the following ten BE attitudes:
- Be happy
- Be appreciative
- Be gracious
- Be kind
- Be persistent
- Be present
- Be truthful
- Be consistent
- Be curious
- Be willing
I would love to share the nuances of these attitudes as expressed by each of the individuals whose stories have appeared in The Network Marketing Magazine.com over its first six months but I trust you can discover that for yourself.
As for me, I just want to thank Margi Aliprandi, Warren Nelson, Robin Cohen, Jim Ryder, Jackie Ulmer, Jason Haks, Diane Walker, David Hervey, Lisa Wilber, Melodee Rosen, Teri Williams, Kathy Coover, Dave Johnson, Connie Kittson, Jan Wakeland, Bill Holderby, Art Burleigh, Michael Dlouhy, Lori Andersen, Kathi Minsky and Elizabeth Harrington for providing me with a brilliant song! You’ve helped me catch myself spending time rehearsing for failure and provided the perfect incentive for me to dance to a new, more powerful tune as I rehearse for success! The difference is showing up in many more places than just my business. Lucky me! Any of you care to join me in this dance? ~~Mary K ¸..• ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.•´ .•´¨¨)) ((¸¸.•´ ..•´ -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.•´* Light EXPECT MIRACLES!
