HOW TO BUILD A LOYAL and PRODUCTIVE DOWNLINE TEAM In A World of Never-Ending Distractions! Max Steingart “The Father of Social Networking”

You and your downline team members are constantly being bombarded by a never-ending series of offers from new companies, competing product lines, wild claims, and fast-money promises.

With all that going on, how in the world can you build a team that is both LOYAL to you and your company, while also being highly PRODUCTIVE and PROFITABLE?

In the world of network marketing, success isn’t just about individual achievements. It’s about creating a strong and motivated team that works harmoniously towards a common goal.

The great author Rudyard Kipling said “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.”

The power of team building cannot be underestimated, especially when it comes to network marketing downline organizations. You hold the key to unlocking the potential within your team members and driving collective success. In this article, we will delve into the three crucial aspects of effective team building within your downline organization.

1. LEAD BY YOUR OWN GOOD EXAMPLE

Leadership is never just about giving orders; it’s about showing your team how it’s done. By leading through your own actions, you set a precedent for your downline distributors to follow. When they witness your dedication, work ethic, and professionalism, they are more likely to emulate these qualities themselves.

Leading by example means not only reaching your own targets but also personally exhibiting the behaviors and attitudes that breed success. Show your team members how to effectively communicate, engage with prospects, and handle challenges. Your authenticity and willingness to roll up your sleeves will foster a culture of mutual respect and collaboration, inspiring your downline to invest their best selves into the business.

IF you want your team members to be focused,
     THEN you must be focused.
IF you want your team members to be loyal to your company,
THEN you must be loyal to your company.
IF you want your team to consistently recruit new reps and enroll customers,
THEN you must consistently recruit new reps and enroll customers.

Here’s an old expression you should take to heart: “The speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack!”

2. HOLD REGULAR UPDATES and TRAINING SESSIONS

Consistent communication is the cornerstone of a well-functioning team. By holding regular updates and training classes, you provide your downline distributors with the knowledge and tools they need to excel. These sessions not only enhance their skills but also reinforce their sense of belonging to a supportive and growing community.

If you are brand new, you don’t have to be the instructor/trainer yourself. You can press one of your upline team members to present a few tips and techniques that will help you and your people.

If you’re doing it on your own, vary the topics and cover things such as product knowledge, effective communication, prospecting techniques, and overcoming objections.

It doesn’t have to be a big production either. You can utilize a variety of mediums, including online meetings using something like Zoom or Google Meet. You can do conference calls, and for special cases even one-on-one coaching sessions.

Another effective resource is that you can encourage them to join you when you attend one of my free daily “Ask Max” sessions, where we explore easier ways to recruit reps and enroll customers using LinkedIn and Facebook. Here’s my weekly schedule of free training events. https://maxsteingart.com/webinars/cal.html

By investing time and effort in the personal development of your people, you’ll not only boost their confidence, but also equip them to achieve their goals.

3. PRAISE and RECOGNIZE TEAM MEMBERS FOR ACHIEVING MILESTONES

Celebrating wins, big or small, is a powerful motivator that can fuel the fire of ambition within your downline team. Recognizing the achievements of your team members creates a culture of appreciation and camaraderie, where everyone feels valued for their contributions. Publicly acknowledging their successes not only boosts their self-esteem but also inspires others to strive for excellence.

Think about it. Why has every branch of the military, in every country, throughout history presented medals to their service members?

Recognition is a powerful thing. People want to feel appreciated. They desire the respect and admiration of others. They crave the feeling of strong camaraderie. Everybody wants to feel like they belong to something greater than themselves.

Recognition could take the form of shout-outs during meetings, social media posts, or even tangible rewards like gift cards, a framed certificate, or even a trophy. By reinforcing positive behavior, you cultivate a motivated and engaged downline that is dedicated to pushing their limits.

TO SUM IT UP

Effective team building is the very cornerstone of success in any network marketing downline organization. When you lead by your own good example, conduct regular updates and training, and go out of your way to recognize the achievements of your individual team members, you create an environment of collaboration, growth, and enthusiasm. As a leader, you hold the power to transform a group of individuals into a cohesive and dynamic team that propels your network marketing venture to new heights of success in spite of any obstacles, distractions, or setbacks.

Designate yourself as a leader. Don’t wait for someone to assign it to you. You don’t need experience. You just need to make the decision and then step up.
