ULTIMATE NETWORKING – Database / Contact List

If you don’t already have a database for your contact list, start one as soon as possible.  Add names and contact information daily as you meet people on a social basis or for business. You never know when you need to look someone up or find someone from your past. Use your contact list to start an opt-in email database for promoting your products, services, projects, blogs, newsletters, and more.

*A CLEAN, UP-TO-DATE DATABASE IS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD*

*YOUR NETWORK CREATES YOUR NET WORTH*

Build a Contact-List Database

  • Add names and email addresses to your CRM (customer relationship management) system and/or opt-in email program daily, weekly, or monthly as you collect business cards and name lists.

  • If you already have an email list, make sure you clean it up by sending an opt-in / opt-out message.

  • Don’t buy email lists or leads unless proven to be “clean” (a list of names screened as being opt-in).  Also, always request a test sample before you purchase a list.

  • Build a database whether you are in sales or not. Everyone needs contact information about others in today’s world of constant communication.

  • Find out the best way to communicate with those in your database—email, phone, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, text, Skype, WhatsApp, or other and make a notation in your files.

  • Collect business cards everywhere you go, and add them to your database.

  • You may want to get a business-card scanner if you are accumulating large volumes of business cards.

  • Find business-card-scanner reviews at http://www.toptenreviews.com/computers/scanners/best-business-card-scanners/ or https://wiki.ezvid.com/best-business-card-scanners?id=bng.

  • Find business-card-scanning apps at https://appadvice.com/appguides/show/business-card-scanning-apps.

Opt-In E-Mail Management Program

Create categories for your list and keep up-to-date. You can send emails to your total list or to separate categories to remain in touch with your database. Send out special promotions, sales, discounts, events, or a newsletter to the list on a regular basis. “Top of the mind” exposure to your customers and database. The more exposure the better!

Continue adding contacts to your opt-in email list, mobile phone directory and vCard app (www.ultimatemobilemarketing.biz) directory.

CRM SYSTEMS

CRM stands for “customer relationship management.” CRM systems are available both on the web and as apps. Check out GetApp (www.getapp.com), and read their reviews. Consider using a CRM system, even though you are not in sales, to build and control your database, as well as your referral network.

CRM recommendations:

A CRM system lets you store and manage prospects as well as customer data, such as contact information, accounts, leads, and sales opportunities in one central location. You’ll discover that it’s more than a fancy contact list. A CRM solution is a game-changing piece of technology for every industry—from retail and manufacturing to real estate, construction, network marketing, and many more. CRM will also let you operate your referral network in a more effective manner.

As a result, CRM can help you:

  • Increase leads

  • Close more deals, faster

  • Drive customer loyalty and satisfaction

  • Organize your database

  • Access referrals quick and easy
