Do you remember how excited you were when you started building your network marketing business?
It began with a twinkle in your eyes and an extra bounce in your step about the possibilities that could come from your new business? Back then, you worked hard and had traction as you found customers and shared your excitement with your friends. As your business grew and you started seeing tens, hundreds, or even thousands of dollars coming in each month, you began to enjoy pleasures you had put aside.
But then things slowly started changing. The growth slowed, stopped, or maybe even declined, and you realized that your business had become stagnated. Maybe you are there now? If so, you are at a precipice and you can go a couple of ways at this point.
The Two Paths in Front of You
The first path is that you could quit with the feeling it isn’t worth the work to build again. Maybe you have talked with all of your friends and contacts. Maybe you just don’t know how to find more prospects to talk to. COVID certainly has affected how you meet people to sell products or invite them into your business. If quitting is your decision, then I can’t help you much… unless you are open to reading onward to see another path for a more rewarding experience.
The second path involves developing a second wind to get back to where you were and move to the next level. But, How do you do this? Again, there are a couple of ways.
Option one is to use the same approach you used before and put more time and energy into the process. But you would need to dig even deeper than the first time to find more customers or reawakening your team to get going again since you have already connected with all of your friends.
Option two is to learn new ways to build your network team, knowing that it’s the TEAM (not simply product sales) that will take you to the next level.
Team Building is Simpler than You Realize
The good news is that team building is easier than you realize. You may not know the secret yet, but teams are about people who are each getting what THEY want out of THEIR businesses, NOT about YOU getting what you want.
It is about relationships and it is about people, not products. You get to help people discover their WHY’s, Dreams, and goals.
How do you do this? Simple. Start connecting with them and start asking them the right questions so they share with you. But they won’t just share this deeply personal stuff unless they trust you and know you can help them get what they’re after.
Relationship Building is the Key
Again, it’s about developing strong relationships with them. You really must care about them and they have to feel it or they won’t open up to you. You get to learn how to become a caring, motivating leader they want to follow: A leader they believe who can help them achieve greatness themselves.
If you want to follow the second path and become a business team builder, you get to develop skills you don’t already possess. You get to gain knowledge not already in your head and dig deep into your big heart to better connect with them so they feel you care about their success, not just yours.
What Do YOU Want?
How do you feel about this second path? I can tell you from experience it is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have in your life. Helping others achieve greatness feels better than making a lot of money.
But the good news here is that the money will still come to you, and in ways, you can only imagine right now. Your life will never be the same as you surround yourself with new team leaders you don’t even know today. And they will travel to the ends of the earth (and even some beaches with you) on YOUR journey to greatness.
