When you are out looking for team members or customers you want to allow a person a way out so you can remain friends in case the timing is not right for them at the moment. You do not want to be a pest, say something like I have been talking with you for a while. When do you think you will be ready to take the next step with me, to get you started? Get them to say NOT RIGHT NOW so you can move on…

My business will grow from confirmed No’s AND I will feel relaxed as well as my prospects because they will have told me where they really stand and I won’t have to get on their nerves and have them hiding from me. They will know that we are still friends and can move on. My biz will grow because, after all, it is STILL a numbers game and the more no’s will lead to the yesses!

Most will not know what they will not not know unless they know you you care, paraphrasing Theodore Roosevelts quote. No is not know. Keep going and move towards your goal and those who may have doubts will come around in their own time.

Moving on past the No is stream lining. You can still have contact with the No people in other ways without it be so hard and cold. Doing warm marketing with them, keeping them abreast of new products, love moving past the Nos.
