What To Say

1st Contact Scripts – The Formula

Hi ( Name ), + (Why you are messaging them) + (compliment them) + (why you think you should be friends) = 95% new friend acceptance rate when attempting to connect with the right people (ie: Eager Socializers or eMarketing Socializers)!

Send one of these messages at the same time you send a friend request.

“Hi Name, Your page came up on my Facebook as someone I should like to know. After looking at it, I’d have to agree. I loved some of your posts and I noticed we share some mutual friends and interest. Let’s be friends on here and share a few laughs. Your Name”

“Hi Name, Your page came up on my Facebook as someone I should like to know. After looking at it, I’d have to agree. I loved some of your posts and I noticed we share many interests. I’m expanding my business to your area (country, state, city, province) and hope to visit someday soon. I’m always looking to meet similar like minded people and I can tell you speak my language. Let’s be friends on here and share a few laughs. Perhaps you can recommend some great places to eat or visit when I’m there?
Your Name”

“Hi, Name,
Your page came up on my Facebook as someone I should like to know. After looking at it, I’d have to agree. I loved some of your posts and couldn’t resist sharing some of them. I have many friends who are (add career here) and would be delighted to include you as one too. Perhaps I can send you some referrals. Let’s be friends and share a few laughs.
Your Name”

“Hi, Name,
I am new to Facebook and want to connect with people on this planet who think as I do. Furthermore, I love ( add mutual things you both like ) nutrition and taking charge. And raw – well it’s the edge.

If I send you a friend request would you accept? If you don’t desire to reach out to perfect strangers, don’t worry. But I am here to meet new inspirational people in my life. I feel like we already know one another.
Thanks, Your Name”

Begin immediately by talking to your existing Facebook Friends. Send this message to the people you really know but have never talked to on Facebook in response to something they have recently posted:

“Hi, I just noticed your recent post. It’s been a while since we talked. What are you doing these days?”

Begin talking to the Facebook Friends that you don’t know in response to something they recently posted:

“Hi, I just noticed your recent post. We’ve somehow become friends on Facebook and I’m not really sure how we’re connected but we’ve never really talked. What do you do?”

Begin talking to the people on Facebook you’re not connected to and don’t know in response to something you can see that they’ve recently posted:

“Hi, I just noticed your recent post and really like it. Facebook needs more people like you. I’m on here to meet like minded positive people and hope you feel the same way. I’d like to connect as friends and will send you a request to be friends.”

** Send them a ‘Friend Request’ immediately afterward. Send this message when you want to make a connection but DO NOT want to send a friend request because you’ve been warned by Facebook about contacting strangers.

“Hi, Name,
(Use any of the templates above or a similar message just include this line before your name.)
“For some reason, I’m having some trouble sending you a friend request. Please send me one and I’ll accept immediately.”
